Via Rotella Sangiovese 2016
Italian & Other Imported Reds »
In Italy, Sangiovese is the most widely planted red grape variety, primarily in the Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Sicily, Abruzzo and Marche regions. It is the main grape used in the popular red wines of Tuscany, where it is the solitary grape of Brunello di Montalcino and the primary component of the wines of Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and many "Super Tuscans". This wine originates from the territory of Montespertoli, which lies to the south-west of Florence, in the area between two valleys Val di Pesa e Val d'Elsa. Selected clones of Sangiovese traditional to the area have been used to produce this wine.
Parri Sangiovese is a savoury wine which has a ruby colour tending to garnet, ample perfume, persistent full flavour, with harmonious and slight tannins. It is well suited to tomato based pastas, or to any traditional meat based Italian recipes. Excellent wine which has a ruby colour tending to garnet, ample perfume, persistent full flavour, harmonious and slight tannins.
